Our 7 point Warehouse migration process
Our migration planning starts with cataloguing existing data assets and related transformations and reports or products through a hybrid process of automated discovery and manual effort.
We then categorize and segemnt the objects by type, priority and need and complexity of migration. All data assets will be migrated while some code objects and reports are only relevent in the old system and do not need to be migrated.
This is the meat of the work, in planning the sequence of migration activities and their validation is documented. The migration plan, people roles, tools and infrastructure requirements are the key outputs from this activity.
